What you'll do

What a pattern tester does

As a pattern tester, you crochet a new pattern before it's published. You follow the instructions step by step and let me know if anything is unclear, where a photo would help, or what could be improved.

I do the same thing myself for other designers, and that is exactly how my own patterns are tested, by crochet friends in the Netherlands, England and Germany. Their feedback makes every pattern clearer before it goes out into the world, and your eye as a tester is just as valuable as mine.

  2. You receive the pattern

    As soon as a new test round starts, I'll send you the pattern.

  3. You crochet and give feedback

    You crochet the pattern and let me know what you notice.

  4. You share your photos

    You send photos of your result, which I may use to show off the pattern.

Does testing cost me anything?

No, you receive the pattern for free. In return, I ask for your feedback and photos of your result.

Do I need crochet experience?

You need some crochet experience to follow the instructions. I'll also ask about that in the sign-up form.

Which language can I test in?

I'm looking for testers in Dutch, English and German. Let me know your preferred language in the form.

How will I know when a new test round starts?

Once you've signed up, I'll get in touch as soon as a new pattern is ready to test.
